In 1952 a very young Folco Quilici took part in a major Italian expedition that for the first time carried out an underwater exploration in a tropical sea, the Red Sea from north to south, to as far as the Dahlak islands. Thus Sixth Continent was born, the book and the film that brought fame to its author. The first feature film in color on the underwater world.
